SAFE ENVIRONMENT COMPLIANCE

The Diocese of Tucson requires that all adult volunteers  (18 years old or older) working with children, youth, and/or vulnerable  individuals must complete a volunteer application, and the Safe Environment training (CMG) and undergo a background screening before they start volunteering.


  INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO APPLY  FOR EMPLOYMENT OR VOLUNTEER POSITIONS ONLINE:

 

  1. Complete and submit an on-line Application for Volunteer Ministry (https://diocesetucson.org/employment-opportunities)
  2. Scroll down to the section " PARISH VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES" and look for St Helen of the Cross Parish - Eloy, AZ
  3. Click on "Volunteer - ST. HELEN OF THE CROS, ELOY," and begin the process.
  4. When you apply you will be asked for important information, here is why providing accurate information at the time you apply is very important:


  • Email Address:
    Please provide an email address that you check regularly. This email address will be used by the Diocese, the background screening provider, and the compliance representative. It is very important that you read your emails regularly.


  • References:
    Please provide three (3) professional references and three (3) personal references who you know will answer the phone.

       Note:  A professional reference is someone with whom you have worked or volunteered in a professional or service setting.

  • Please notify your references that they will receive a phone call from the Office of St. Helen.
  • Important: This part of the process may delay your application if your references do not answer or return our calls.


  • Background History:
    Please list any complaints, reports, or legal issues from your past, regardless of how long ago they occurred. If the information on your application does not match the results of the background check, your approval may be delayed or denied.
